2013 Grand Finals BGY 8 Caloocan City Chess Championships (Open Division)

Edgardo "Egay" Habana of host Barangay 8 defeated top seed Frederick Sadongdong in the play-off after both finished with the same score at the end of the 2013 BGY 8 Caloocan City Chess Championships (Open Division) held October 20,2013 at the Sugpo Covered Court Dagat-Dagatan , Caloocan City. The 8 leg eliminations started last July ,with all the leg champion fighting   it out in a single Round Robin tournament system. SK Kagawad Albert Sonza, organizer of the events awarded the trophies and cash prizes to all the winners. Punong Barangay Teben Cunanan supported the tournament, with Philippine Blitz Chess Association National Arbiter Ernie Baltazar officiating the tournament.
