Colegio de San Juan de Letran blanks Emilio Aguinaldo College and Mapua Institute of Technology in the last two rounds and watch Arellano University lost it grips on the lead as Board 4 Kyz Llantada lost to Louie Caunca of Lyceum University . Arellano needs 3.5 points in the last round to force a play off for the title.
Letrans 1-2 punch , FM Paulo Bersamina and team captain Melwyn Kenneth Baltazar combines for 34.5 points with Bersamina scoring a perfect 18 out of 18 points and Baltazar 16.5 points on 15 wins and 3 draws. Most Valuable Player award goes to Board 1 gold medalist Paolo Bersamina while Melwyn Kennethh Baltazar won the gold on Board 2.Kenneth also won the individual gold medal in the 87th season and 88th season of the NCAA ,Kenneth compiles a total of 48 wins 4 draws and a single loss in three years of play.
